The episode opens in a sinister, dimly-lit cave where a woman in black, the sorceress Bhootki, performs a dark ritual over the body of an unconscious young boy. With flames roaring, she summons a fiery, demonic spirit. This entity, revealing itself as Pashupati, needs a physical form to achieve its goals. In a terrifying sequence, the spirit merges with the boy, who awakens with a malevolent laugh. Now possessing a body, Pashupati declares that nothing can stop him from acquiring the legendary “Naag Khazana” (the Snake Treasure).
Parallel to this, we see a righteous king-like figure, the Sarparaj (King of Snakes), deep in prayer before a Shiva Lingam. He is worried about the Naag Rani (Snake Queen), who has gone against the will of Naag Lok (the Snake World) to protect her devotee, Bala. As he prays, the Shiva Lingam glows with a foreboding red light, and he receives a vision of Bala, unconscious and tied in a sack, abandoned in a forest. Realizing the grave danger she is in, the Sarparaj uses a mystical mirror to confirm her location. Horrified, he dispatches his legion of snakes to find and rescue her.
The scene then shifts to a lavishly decorated house where preparations for an engagement ceremony are in full swing. We meet the ambitious Bhadravati and her daughter, Parnika, who is giddy with excitement about her engagement to a man named Prem. It quickly becomes clear that this is no ordinary alliance; Bhadravati and Parnika are scheming to use this marriage to get their hands on the Naag Khazana.
However, Prem is not a willing participant. In a heart-wrenching flashback, we see that Parnika blackmailed him, forcing him to swear on a sacred lamp that he would marry her in exchange for Bala’s life. Trapped by his vow, a tormented Prem participates in the ceremony, his face a mask of sorrow.
The ceremony is interrupted by the arrival of Pratigya, the woman Prem truly loves. While searching the house, she discovers Bala’s anklet under a rug in Bhadravati’s room. Holding the proof in her hand, she storms into the engagement ceremony and confronts Bhadravati, accusing her of kidnapping Bala. The joyous atmosphere shatters as Pratigya holds up the anklet, revealing Bhadravati’s treachery to everyone present. Cornered and enraged, Bhadravati drops all pretense, grabbing Pratigya by the throat and screaming that she has already killed Bala, leaving everyone in a state of shock as the episode ends.
