·

The episode opens with Saru and Phulla visibly upset after being kicked out of their class. They are approached by Ved (whom Saru respectfully calls “Sir Saab”), who expresses concern. Saru, however, is determined to solve their problem independently and initially refuses his offer to speak to the principal, stating they have another way.

Their “way” involves Phulla making a call from a PCO (Public Call Office) to her brother, Balaji. Phulla asks Balaji to get Saru’s “Nanu Sa” (grandfather/elderly male relative) to talk to them about an urgent issue. Ved, who is nearby, overhears this and seems puzzled by the situation.

The scene then cuts to Balaji in a rural setting, boasting to his friends about his connections and how he can get any work done with a single phone call. He receives Phulla’s call, and his confident demeanor falters when Phulla inquires about Nanu Sa, “Varsha Daaki Saath Gaurika ki Saas” (Varsha’s aunt-in-law along with Gaurika’s mother-in-law), and Nanu Sa again. Balaji appears uncomfortable. When Saru takes the phone, she asks Balaji if “Maayri” (her mother) is still angry and if the “Old Man” (likely Nanu Sa) managed to pacify her. Balaji, clearly hiding something, falsely reassures Saru that everything is fine at home and Nanu Sa has handled the situation. He advises her to concentrate on her studies and not return until she becomes a Deputy Collector.

The core problem is then revealed: Saru and Phulla need 20,000 rupees for their college fees. Saru asks Balaji to have Nanu Sa speak with them about this. Balaji, flustered, lies that Nanu Sa has gone to a nearby village to arrange for laborers and will only be back in two days. He then confidently tells Saru not to worry, as he has a “jugaadu” (resourceful) friend in Mumbai who will arrange the money.

Saru, relieved, tells Phulla the good news. However, Ved, who has been observing them, receives a call from Balaji. In a private conversation, Balaji confesses the truth to Ved: Nanu Sa is actually deceased (“Nanu Sa bhi naa rahe”), and Balaji himself doesn’t have the money. He pleads with Ved to help pay the girls’ fees, promising to repay him. Ved, understanding the sensitive situation and Saru’s pride, agrees to provide the money.

Ved then approaches Saru and Phulla again. Saru, realizing Balaji must have contacted Ved, firmly refuses to take money from him, stating he has already helped them enough. Ved then suggests that Saru could earn the money herself. Phulla lists Saru’s traditional skills like Kabaddi and climbing trees, which Ved gently dismisses as not being financially viable. However, when Saru mentions she knows the Ghoomar dance, taught to her by her mother, Ved’s expression changes. He remembers her impressive performance at the freshers’ party and sees this as a genuine opportunity for her to earn the money, promising to meet her soon.

In a parallel storyline, an elderly man (Samdhi ji, possibly Nanu Sa’s counterpart in another family branch) is shown in a wheelchair, extremely distressed and unable to speak. His wife (Samdhan ji) is trying to feed him. Kamini, a seemingly antagonistic woman, enters and observes them. Her internal monologue reveals that Samdhan ji has recently signed a will, and Samdhi ji’s distress stems from this, implying Kamini has manipulated the situation to her advantage. She cruelly taunts the incapacitated Samdhi ji, offering him a pen and paper to write down his thoughts, knowing he cannot. He attempts to write but drops the pen, which Kamini picks up, further mocking his helplessness.

The episode concludes with Ved at his modern home, approaching his wife/Bhabhi, Payal, in the kitchen. He awkwardly and shyly asks her to give 20,000 rupees to “someone” on his behalf, leaving Payal surprised by both the amount and his secretive demeanor.

Major Recap Points

  • Financial Crisis and Balaji’s Deception: Saru and Phulla urgently need 20,000 rupees for college fees. Phulla’s brother, Balaji, lies to them about his ability to arrange the funds and the well-being/availability of Saru’s Nanu Sa (who is revealed to be deceased), secretly asking Ved for the money instead.
  • Ved’s Intervention and Saru’s Potential Path: Ved, after learning the truth from Balaji, agrees to help financially but, respecting Saru’s pride, suggests she earn the money through her Ghoomar dancing talent, which he believes could be a viable solution.

Plot Twists & Key Revelations

  • Nanu Sa’s Death: The most significant revelation is that Saru’s Nanu Sa, whom she and Phulla were relying on, is actually deceased. Balaji has been concealing this from them.
  • Balaji’s True Colors: Despite his boastful claims of being influential and resourceful, Balaji is financially incapable of helping and resorts to extensive lies to cover up his shortcomings and the truth about Nanu Sa.
  • Ved’s Secret Financial Aid & Emerging Plan: Ved not only agrees to provide the 20,000 rupees (planning to give it through Balaji or anonymously) but also devises a plan for Saru to earn money through her Ghoomar dancing, recognizing her talent and respecting her self-esteem.
  • Kamini’s Sinister Plot & The Will: A parallel plot reveals Kamini manipulating an ailing elderly man (Samdhi ji) after his wife (Samdhan ji) signed a will. This suggests Kamini is after property or inheritance and is taking advantage of the vulnerable.
  • Saru’s Unwavering Pride: Saru’s strong sense of self-respect is highlighted as she repeatedly refuses direct financial help from Ved, even when he is genuinely trying to assist, preferring to find her own means.

Predicted Outcomes (Next Episode/Arc)

  • Saru’s Ghoomar Performance for Money: Ved will likely arrange an opportunity for Saru to perform Ghoomar, possibly at an event or competition, where she can earn the required fees. This could also lead to her talent being recognized more widely.
  • The Truth About Nanu Sa Unveiled: Saru and Phulla will inevitably learn about Nanu Sa’s death and Balaji’s deception. This will likely lead to an emotional fallout and a confrontation with Balaji, straining their relationships.
  • Kamini’s Scheme Escalates: Kamini will likely intensify her efforts to secure whatever benefits the will provides, possibly leading to further distress for Samdhi ji and Samdhan ji. The contents of the will and Samdhan ji’s reasons for signing it will become crucial.
  • Ved and Payal’s Growing Involvement: Payal’s curiosity about the 20,000 rupees might lead her to discover Ved’s involvement with Saru and Phulla. This could either strengthen their bond if she supports his actions or create minor friction if she has concerns.
  • Balaji Faces Consequences: Balaji’s web of lies (about his financial status, Nanu Sa, and the “friend in Mumbai”) is bound to collapse, leading to him facing the consequences from Saru, Phulla, and potentially others in the village.
