The episode begins with a dramatic chase through a lush, green jungle. A woman, Gauri, dressed in a simple sari with a bow and arrow strapped to her back, desperately pursues a baby who is magically flying down a road. A large truck speeds towards the levitating child. In a heart-stopping moment, Gauri draws her bow and shoots an arrow, which miraculously causes the truck to screech to a halt just inches from the baby. The child, Golu, lands safely on the back of the truck, giggling. Gauri, relieved, smiles back at her son.

Suddenly, the scene shifts. Gauri is watching the truck drive away as her son, Golu, flies after it. She screams his name and runs, but the scene seems to be a recurring nightmare or a painful memory. We then cut to a lavish, green-painted room where a woman named Urvashi, dressed in an elegant green sari, walks in. She smirks, saying that this room belonged to the Badi Maa who used to rule the house, but now she will be the one in charge. As she snoops around, an older woman in a black sari, likely the Badi Maa, enters and catches her. Urvashi, startled, pretends she was just looking for a towel. The older woman hands her one, her expression unreadable.

We flash back to Gauri, waking up from her nightmare, realizing her son Golu is in danger. She sees him flying away and understands he is heading towards the VPS’s house. Meanwhile, in the present, Urvashi is in the garden with a man, presumably VPS. She thanks him for his help and acts charmingly. In the background, Golu peeks through a white picket fence, laughing playfully. Urvashi then takes out a small, black device that glows red. She speaks a command into it, enchanting the house to alert her whenever a child comes near. The camera shows the other family members inside the house, their eyes turning completely black, indicating they are under a demonic influence and have heard her command.

Golu, sensing the new threat, uses his powers. He levitates small rocks from the ground and hurls them into the nearby fountain, causing water to splash all over a shocked and furious Urvashi. Back in the jungle, Gauri runs frantically and finally reaches the gates of the dark, imposing mansion. The fountain is now emitting smoke. Through a series of flashbacks, we see Gauri’s past: her wedding ceremony with VPS, a happy family gathering, and a traumatic event where she is covered in blood and pregnant. We learn that her grandmother, Nani, had warned her that the ‘dayans’ (witches) in the house knew about her pregnancy and were after her child, urging her not to go back.

Gauri’s heart breaks as she sees VPS inside the house, now playing happily with Golu, who has managed to get inside. A touching song, ‘Akele Hum Akele Tum,’ plays as Gauri watches her husband and son, torn between her love for them and the danger that lurks within the house. She recalls the moment she decided to become a ‘narishva,’ a protector, to save her child from the evil forces. She knows she cannot leave her son there and must rescue him.

Inside, the family is surprised to see the baby. At the same time, in a dark, fiery lair, the main dayan, Mohana, gets a call from the Badi Maa, informing her about the baby’s arrival. Mohana, speaking to another dayan who is in a boiling cauldron, reveals her plan. She needs the baby, a Davansh, to regain her full powers and become a ‘Mahadayan.’ She vows to get the child before Gauri can. The family starts fawning over the baby, completely unaware of the danger.

Suddenly, a mysterious woman with her face covered by a veil enters the house, holding Golu. The family is stunned. The woman, who is Gauri in disguise, confronts VPS. He asks who she is. She declares she is the baby’s mother. When he demands proof, she reveals her face. The entire family, including VPS, stands frozen in shock, staring at the woman they thought was gone forever.

Review

This episode was a rollercoaster of emotions and plot developments. The pacing was excellent, seamlessly weaving between past and present to build a rich and intriguing backstory for Gauri. The introduction of the new villain, Urvashi, and the revelation that the family is under her demonic control adds a fresh layer of conflict. It’s not just a simple battle of good versus evil anymore; it’s a complicated family drama with supernatural elements. The visual effects, especially the flying baby and the magical arrow, were well-executed and added to the fantasy element of the show. The emotional core of the episode—a mother’s desperate love for her child—was powerful and relatable. The final scene, with Gauri’s dramatic return, was a perfect cliffhanger that leaves the audience eager for the next episode. The show has successfully set up multiple conflicts: Gauri vs. the Dayans, Gauri vs. her own family, and now, a potential clash between Urvashi and Mohana over the baby. It will be exciting to see how these storylines unfold.
