·

The episode begins with Noyon’s family trying to persuade her to marry Shoorjo. Her mother insists that this is a golden opportunity, brought by the renowned Gurudev himself. Noyon, however, is adamant. She reveals that the Noyon they knew, the one with special powers to see spirits, is no more. She tearfully explains that she can no longer see souls, including her dear friend Hashiram, and therefore cannot be the protective shield that Shoorjo needs. Her family is shocked and her aunt, Phuldi, dismisses it as drama.

Meanwhile, in a flashback, we see Shoorjo and his family discussing the marriage proposal with Gurudev. Shoorjo reminds Gurudev of his promise to marry a girl with divine qualities. Being a man of his word, he agrees to the marriage, solidifying the family’s decision. Gurudev is pleased, but he has a plan of his own. He tells Shoorjo’s father that he is fasting and will not drink even a drop of water until Shoorjo’s wedding is fixed. He praises Noyon, calling her an incarnation of Goddess Lakshmi and the perfect bride, a girl one in a million.

Noyon, overwhelmed, packs her bags to return to her temple, feeling she can’t be selfish and risk Shoorjo’s life. Her family tries to stop her, but she locks herself in a room. Inside, she is torn. Her reflection in the mirror taunts her, reminding her of the wandering spirit, Shauli, who wants to harm Shoorjo. The reflection insists she must save him. Just then, Noyon feels the presence of her ghost friend, Hashiram. He appears, looking like a little boy with a mustache, and explains that he has created an invisible barrier to protect her from other spirits, which is why she can’t see him. He warns her that this situation is dangerous and she should not get married.

Suddenly, a new spirit appears in the room – a woman in a traditional Bengali saree. Hashiram is terrified to see her. The spirit reveals she is Lalita, Shoorjo’s deceased mother. She confronts Hashiram, asking what he wants. Lalita declares she wants Noyon as her daughter-in-law to protect her son. Hashiram, realizing Noyon is in grave danger, makes Lalita swear on her son’s life that she will not force Noyon into this marriage. He points out the selfishness in her plan: to save her son, she is willing to sacrifice Noyon, as the enemy’s first attack would be on Shoorjo’s protector. This makes Lalita reconsider her actions, as she had not thought about the consequences for Noyon.

Later, another man (Jamai Babu) finds Noyon. He reveals a shocking truth: Shoorjo is still in love with his deceased ex-fiancée, Shauli, who died in a car accident and whose spirit is now trying to kill him. He says that destiny has brought Noyon here to save Shoorjo. He requests her to come with him to Gurudev’s ashram to expose the real enemy. Convinced that she must help, Noyon agrees to go, not for marriage, but to uncover the truth and save Shoorjo.

In a separate scene, another shocking revelation unfolds. A woman, posing as a caretaker, gives Gurudev a drink. After he drinks it, he starts to feel unwell. The woman then takes the glass and reveals she mixed massage oil in it, which is poisonous. She laughs menacingly as Gurudev chokes and vomits, exposing her as a villain with a sinister plan.

The episode ends with Noyon arriving at a place decorated for a ceremony. As she prepares for a puja, a sudden gust of wind blows the vermillion (sindoor) and flowers from her thali all over her. She looks shocked and transformed, as if possessed by a divine power, hinting that her abilities might be returning just when they are needed most.

Review

This episode was packed with suspense, emotion, and major plot twists. Noyon’s internal conflict was portrayed brilliantly, making her decision to help Shoorjo, despite her personal feelings and lost powers, a powerful moment. The introduction of Shoorjo’s mother’s ghost adds a new, complex layer to the story, shifting her from a potentially antagonistic force to a worried mother, which was an interesting development. The child ghost, Hashiram, continues to be a highlight, providing both comic relief and crucial plot information. The biggest shocker was the revelation of the new villain poisoning Gurudev, which opens up a completely new and unexpected storyline. The episode did an excellent job of building tension, leaving the audience with several cliffhangers. The final scene, where the sindoor flies onto Noyon, was visually stunning and sets the stage for a dramatic confrontation in the upcoming wedding week.
