·

The episode opens with a deeply emotional Mannat in the hospital’s prayer area. With tears streaming down her face, she lights a lamp in front of a goddess idol. She prays tearfully, lamenting that she has lost the respect and trust of Vikrant, the very person she wanted to impress. She feels immense guilt for hurting him and believes he will never forgive her. In a selfless act, she asks the goddess to give all his sorrows to her and to always keep him happy. She also prays for the health of her adoptive mother, Shruti, and for the success of her surgery, placing her faith entirely in the goddess’s hands to protect them both.

The scene then shifts to a bedroom where a dishevelled Vikrant, with a fresh cut on his forehead, is heavily intoxicated. He weakly begs Mallika not to leave him. She cruelly pulls away, and he stumbles back onto the bed. Her sinister plan becomes clear through her inner thoughts, as she vows to marry him no matter what, uncaring whether he thinks of her as Mallika or Mannat. She then gives him a drugged drink, and after a kiss, he passes out. She immediately feigns shock, trying to wake him as he lies unconscious.

Back in the hospital, Mannat’s prayer intensifies. The lamp she holds flickers violently, but just as it’s about to go out, it reignites, burning brighter than before. At that moment, a doctor approaches with wonderful news. He tells her that Shruti’s surgery was a success and she is out of danger. An overjoyed Mannat breaks down in tears of relief, thanking the doctor and the goddess. The doctor praises her, saying any mother would be blessed to have a daughter like her.

In a shocking and quick flashback, we see a younger Shruti abandoning a newborn Mannat on a dark, rainy night, revealing that Shruti is not her adoptive but her biological mother who never wanted her. This adds a tragic layer to Mannat’s devotion.

The next morning, Vikrant wakes up shirtless with a pounding headache and fragmented memories of the previous night. He finds a piece of Mallika’s red blouse on his bed. He has a flashback of arguing with Mannat, where she demanded a share in his business. His world comes crashing down when he turns and finds Mallika asleep in bed next to him, covered only by a sheet. She wakes up and begins to cry, making Vikrant believe the worst has happened. She accuses him of taking advantage of her, claiming he was drunk and heartbroken over Mannat and that she was only trying to console him. Vikrant is horrified and filled with guilt, unable to clearly remember the events. He only recalls calling his PA to cancel the wedding and Mallika stopping him. Mallika, continuing her act, manipulates him by saying she knows he loves Mannat and that she will leave without telling anyone. However, just as she reaches the door, Vikrant’s grandmother appears and is shocked to see her leaving his room in such a state. The trap is now perfectly set.

Meanwhile, Mannat enters the hospital room to see both Shruti and her biological mother (unbeknownst to her) recovering. Her biological mother wakes up and asks for water, and Mannat helps her. A nurse informs Mannat that although it’s unusual, the doctor has approved the discharge for both women today due to their stable condition and Mannat’s special request. Mannat is ecstatic. Her biological mother smiles weakly, her own plan to get closer to Mannat seemingly working.

In the precap for the next episode, Mannat is seen vowing to destroy Aishwarya’s life in front of a fire. She declares that she is preparing for the house-warming ceremony of the ‘unasked for wish’ (herself), as she comforts a distressed Aishwarya.

Review

This episode was a rollercoaster of high-voltage drama and emotion. The parallel scenes of Mannat’s pure, selfless prayer and Mallika’s cold, calculated manipulation were brilliantly executed, creating a stark contrast between the two characters. The performances were top-notch, with Ayesha Singh (Mannat) delivering a powerful, tear-jerking prayer scene that was incredibly moving. Mallika’s character, played by Aditi Sharma, has now fully descended into villainy, and her deception was both chilling and effective. The biggest shocker was the revelation that Shruti is Mannat’s biological mother who abandoned her, a twist that re-contextualizes their entire relationship and sets the stage for massive future conflict. While Vikrant falling into such an obvious trap might seem a bit convenient, it’s a classic soap opera trope that effectively pushes the story into a new, dramatic direction. The episode successfully builds suspense, leaving viewers on the edge of their seats, eagerly awaiting the fallout from Mallika’s successful scheme.
