The episode begins with Belli crying emotionally near a staircase. In another scene, Maya, who has a bandage on her forehead, is in her room. She looks at a framed photo of a woman, which has a garland on it, and then admires a new ring on her finger. She smiles and says to herself, “To put a garland on a photo, I got a ring on my hand,” hinting that she has benefited from someone’s death.
Muthu is standing by a swing, looking deep in thought. Belli approaches him and calls his name. He turns to her, and she looks at him with a sad expression. He apologizes to her, saying he couldn’t keep his promise. He explains that Maya asked for the ring, and because of what happened to her, he couldn’t refuse. Belli, showing great maturity, tells him he did the right thing and that Maya has every right to ask for it. She says she is happy that Maya got the ring.
However, the mood shifts when Belli asks Muthu for her old, broken ring back, saying it holds all their memories and she will get it repaired. Muthu looks down, unable to meet her eyes, and reveals that he has already given the ring to a jeweler to be melted down. Belli is devastated. He tells her the jeweler was planning to melt it that very day, making it impossible to retrieve. Belli becomes extremely upset, explaining that the ring wasn’t just an object; it was his first gift and a symbol of their love and memories. Muthu, frustrated, tells her to stop being stubborn like Maya over a simple ring. Heartbroken, Belli sits on the swing and cries, saying the ring made her feel his presence.
Suddenly, Belli’s demeanor changes. She wipes her tears, grabs Muthu’s hand, and pulls him outside to her mother’s house. She calls for her mother and grandmother, who come out, confused. Ignoring Muthu’s questions, Belli rushes inside and brings out an old wooden box. She opens it and starts showing Muthu their childhood treasures—old photos, a spinning top, marbles, a toy airplane, and a peacock feather. She joyfully reminds him of their childhood, how he taught her to spin the top, and how he got her a peacock feather because she believed it would grant wishes. She is trying to make him understand the sentimental value of his gifts. Muthu watches her, a mix of emotions on his face, as he remembers their past. Her mother and grandmother look on with smiles.
The scene then cuts to a man in a car, who appears to be a villain, arriving at a rural location. He asks for directions and then meets with a priestess who is performing a ritual under a tree. He tells her that he is facing many obstacles in his daughter’s wedding. The priestess laughs ominously and reveals that she knows he murdered a woman named Chitra and that her wandering soul is causing all the trouble. The man is shocked and terrified. The priestess shows him visions of the murder in a silver plate, confirming his crime. He begs for a solution, desperate for his daughter’s wedding with Muthu to proceed. The priestess warns him that Chitra’s soul is powerful and seeking revenge. She gives him a talisman for temporary protection but says a larger ritual will be needed before the wedding. The scene ends with a chilling shot of Chitra’s ghost standing in the forest, her eyes burning with rage.
Review
This was a very powerful and well-balanced episode of Sang Hoon Tere. The emotional scenes between Belli and Muthu were the highlight. The contrast between Maya’s cruel happiness and Belli’s deep, sentimental pain was executed brilliantly. The old ring symbolizes Belli and Muthu’s pure, childhood love, and its loss was genuinely heartbreaking. The actress playing Belli did a fantastic job of portraying a wide range of emotions, from mature understanding to childlike vulnerability and deep sorrow.
The transition to Belli taking Muthu on a trip down memory lane was a beautiful touch. It not only strengthened their bond in the eyes of the audience but also provided a lovely, nostalgic break from the intense drama. It served as a reminder of what’s truly at stake: their shared history and love.
The introduction of the supernatural subplot with the priestess and Chitra’s ghost adds an exciting new dimension to the story. The villain’s desperation and the priestess’s chilling revelations have opened up a gripping murder mystery. The visuals during the ritual were effective and spooky. This twist ensures that the upcoming wedding will be anything but smooth. Overall, the episode was a perfect blend of heart-touching emotion, character development, and thrilling suspense, setting the stage for major confrontations to come.
