The episode begins in the magnificent ice palace. Mallika, adorned in a black and silver gown and a crown, stands before Parul, who is dressed in yellow. Mallika’s puppet-like maids attend to her. Seething with anger, Mallika thinks to herself about the humiliation she faced at the hands of the ice demon, Tushar Daitya. She fumes that he dared to make her, a powerful queen, a mere servant to Parul and even forced her to do sit-ups. She vows that once she sacrifices Parul and becomes a complete demon, she will erase Tushar Daitya and his entire kingdom, Mrityu Puri, from the face of the earth. Parul watches her, looking worried and suspicious.
Later, Mallika applies a cream to Parul’s arm. Parul, though allowing her to do so, feels a deep sense of suspicion. She senses that Mallika is not in her right mind and is only pretending to be Tushar Daitya’s servant to deceive him. Meanwhile, Mallika internally rejoices, believing that destiny has brought Parul to her once again. She plans to torment Parul before finally sacrificing her.
Mallika’s maids bring her a tray of jewels. She takes a beautiful, heavy necklace and a jeweled headband and places them on Parul. She menacingly tells Parul that she will give her a punishment so severe that the fear will haunt her long before the actual sacrifice. Using her dark magic, Mallika causes the necklace to tighten around Parul’s neck, choking her. Parul struggles to breathe as Mallika watches with a wicked smile. Suddenly, a voice warns Mallika to stop. Two swords fly through the air, stopping just inches from Mallika. Startled, she releases her magical grip on Parul. The voices are revealed to be from Parul’s enchanted friends – a talking clock and a vase – who have come to her rescue.
The enchanted objects warn Mallika that they will not let her harm Parul. Annoyed by the interference, Mallika realizes the room is not safe for her evil plans and decides she must leave with Parul soon. Parul, catching her breath, thanks her friends for saving her. Dressed in a new red gown with a cape, she feels trapped and helpless. She worries about her inability to save her brothers and the horrifying possibility of being turned into a lifeless, puppet-like creature herself.
The scene shifts outside the ice palace, where the monstrous Tushar Daitya is seen. He is dressed in white fur and appears to be a yeti-like creature. He is in his kingdom, surrounded by his mindless servants whom he has captured. He announces that the day’s work is over and they should prepare for his grand wedding. He is completely obsessed with Parul and goes to his chamber, thinking about how beautiful she must be. He magically creates a bouquet of white flowers to present to her.
Tushar Daitya enters Parul’s room, which is dark. He commands the lights to turn on, and the crystal chandeliers illuminate the chamber. He sees Parul, now dressed in red, and is captivated by her beauty. He approaches her, gets down on one knee, and offers her the flowers. He asks her to marry him and become his queen. A tearful Parul rejects his proposal, confessing that she is in love with someone else. Hearing this, Tushar Daitya’s demeanor changes instantly. His face twists in rage, and he furiously crushes the flowers in his hand, his love turning to dangerous anger.
