The episode begins with Anupamaa being harshly interrogated at the police station. The inspector accuses her of being a manipulative woman who traps older men. He shows her a video on his phone as proof, but Anupamaa, crying, covers her face and denies all the allegations. She pleads her innocence, stating she is not that kind of woman. The inspector, however, is convinced of her guilt. He says that when her plan to trap a man her own age failed, she targeted an older man, Manohar, to rob his house.
Meanwhile, Jessie and Preeto are frantically rushing to the police station in an auto-rickshaw. They are extremely worried about Anupamaa. Jessie fears that the police might have already filed a case against her and that she won’t be released without bail. Preeto suggests they call Manohar ji for help, hoping he can clear the misunderstanding.
In another part of the city, a sinister plan is brewing. Toshu meets with an insurance agent at a cafe. The agent discusses an insurance policy in Anupamaa’s name. When the agent says he needs to meet Anupamaa to process the claim, Toshu cleverly implies that she is no longer with them. The agent misunderstands and assumes Anupamaa is deceased. He informs Toshu that in this case, the insurance money will go to the nominee, Aadhya Kapadia. The agent explains that he will need a no-objection certificate from the nominee and Anupamaa’s death certificate to proceed. After the agent leaves, Toshu tears up his card, a wicked smile on his face. He decides to create a fake death certificate for his mother to claim the insurance money, planning to use it to win back his daughter, Aadhya.
Back at the police station, Tarun, Manohar’s son, arrives and starts shouting at Anupamaa. He accuses her of theft and even attempting to murder his father. Just as the argument heats up, Jessie and Preeto arrive. They are shocked to see the situation and immediately jump to Anupamaa’s defense, getting into a heated argument with Tarun. The police inspector, annoyed by the chaos, shouts at them to be quiet.
Suddenly, the inspector’s landline rings. It is Manohar ji calling from his hospital bed. He tells the inspector that Anupamaa is innocent and, in fact, saved his life. He warns the inspector that if Anupamaa is not released immediately, he will call the DIG, whose wife is his former student. Manohar ji promises to come to the station and give a full statement once he is discharged, revealing the real culprit. This call completely changes the situation. The inspector, now under pressure, allows Jessie and Preeto to take Anupamaa home. Tarun is left stunned and speechless.
Later, Anupamaa, along with Jessie and Preeto, visits Manohar ji in the hospital. He is emotional and apologizes for all the trouble she had to face because of him. Anupamaa, with tears in her eyes, comforts him, saying he is like a father to her and that she is grateful he is safe. She gives him a cup of hot tea. The traumatic events of the day trigger a series of painful flashbacks for Anupamaa, reminding her of all the hardships she has endured in the past.
The scene then shifts to Leela (Motiba) confronting Raahi and Maahi. Maahi has complained to Leela that Raahi doesn’t care about her husband Prem’s happiness. Leela scolds Raahi, telling her that it is a wife’s duty to keep her husband happy and that women like Maahi can easily create a rift between a couple if she is not careful. Raahi is left hurt and speechless by the accusations.
