·

The episode begins in a large, well-decorated living room. The family is gathered, and the children are playfully demanding to go out. However, the elderly man of the house, whom they call Dada, is annoyed because he can’t find his snuff box. He tells the children he will only let them go after they find it. The little boy cheekily tells him he knows where it is but won’t tell. This leads to a playful chase around the living room, with the boy teasing his grandfather and the family laughing.

Dada suspects that Phool, the house help, has hidden his snuff box. He angrily calls for her. Phool comes out from the kitchen, and Dada immediately confronts her, asking for his snuff box. Phool initially feigns ignorance but then admits she has it. She stands her ground and refuses to give it back, lecturing him that chewing tobacco is a very bad habit and is not good for his health. She tries to get the other family members on her side, reminding the doctor (Abhimanyu) that he was also just explaining the ill effects of tobacco. However, seeing Dada’s anger, everyone, including the doctor and the other women, nervously backs out, denying they said anything. They leave Phool to face Dada’s wrath alone.

Feeling cornered and frustrated by the family’s lack of support, Phool takes a drastic step. She pulls a cigarette out from her saree and declares that if the elders in the house won’t quit their bad habits, then the children will also learn the same. To prove her point, she says she will start smoking right there. This act shocks the entire family. As she is about to light it, Dada furiously snatches the cigarette from her hand, grabs her, and breaks the cigarette in two. He then walks over to his snuff box, which the boy had placed on the table, picks it up, and in a moment of realization, breaks it on the floor. The entire family is stunned but happy to see him finally give up his addiction. They all start clapping for him.

Later, Phool is happily serving tea to everyone. She cheekily serves Dada tea in a very large brass glass, teasing him. He smiles and accepts it. The atmosphere is light and cheerful. During the conversation, Dada mentions that they have hired a new, more experienced cook who is very respectful and will be arriving soon. This news seems to make Phool a little sad and insecure.

The scene then shifts to a rural village. A man named Paras is talking to another man, Prakash, and seems agitated. A woman named Srishti arrives and asks to speak with Paras alone. She confronts him about a woman named Nutan, asking him how long he plans to make her suffer. She tells him that Nutan respects him deeply, but he is causing her immense pain. She questions his actions and asks him to consider Nutan’s feelings. Paras seems troubled by her words.

Review

This episode was a delightful blend of light-hearted family comedy and serious emotional drama. The initial scenes in the Bose household were entertaining, with the children’s playful antics and Dada’s frustration over his missing snuff box. The highlight was undoubtedly Phool’s character. Her brave and unconventional method of trying to rid Dada of his addiction was both funny and impactful. Her threat to smoke a cigarette was a masterstroke that shocked the family into realizing the consequences of their own habits on the younger generation. The actress playing Phool delivered a powerful performance, switching effortlessly between defiance, humor, and vulnerability. The moment Dada finally breaks his snuff box was a very satisfying and heartwarming conclusion to this arc. The introduction of the new plotline in the village with Paras, Nutan, and Srishti adds a layer of mystery and promises a more intense emotional track ahead.
