The episode begins with a disclaimer, followed by a tense scene in a neon-lit room. Yuvi is upset with his friends, accusing them of being liars and cheats. He refuses to talk to them. As he tries to leave, his friends stop him, and it’s revealed that they were only tricking him to give him a surprise. They present him with his favorite cake, a “Big Bro Special” Cinnamon Raisin Cake. His anger melts away, and he is touched by their gesture. The group celebrates happily, dancing and singing together. Yuvi feeds everyone a piece of the cake and declares it’s fantastic.
After the celebration, Yuvi has an emotional moment with his friends. He thanks them, calling them his “Manmojis,” and says they are the only reason he is still living in that house. He reveals his struggles with his grandfather (whom he calls H.F. or Head of Family) and his constant taunts. He then shares the big news: he is going to meet his mother the next day, and she will be coming to live with them. He talks about a special chair he has made just for her and his plans to host a food and music fusion event in her honor. His friends are overjoyed and share a group hug, though Yuvi looks pensive, hoping the next day will be lucky for him.
The scene shifts to Katha, who is sitting on a porch, writing in her diary. She writes about getting “Maharaj Ji” released from jail but expresses her disapproval of his coffee shop, believing it to be the root of all their problems. She feels she couldn’t properly respond to her uncle’s (Mama’s) concerns because she didn’t want to worry him. She is determined to become self-reliant, earn money, and take care of her aunt and uncle, as well as pay off the family’s debts. Her uncle interrupts her, informing her that Naveen, a local man, called because his daughter is very ill.
Later, Yuvi visits Naveen’s house to see his sick daughter, Phuljadi. He brings her a box of donuts, her favorite treat. Just as he is about to feed her a colorful blue donut, Katha arrives. She sternly stops him, snatching the donut away. She scolds him for giving the sick child unhealthy food, calling the donut an “English imarti” made of refined flour. She argues that such junk food is harmful. She then offers the child a healthy herbal paste she made from ajwain, mint, and neem. An argument erupts between Katha and Yuvi. In the heat of the moment, Katha angrily throws the bowl of herbal paste on the ground. Yuvi, infuriated that she disrespected his gift, confronts her. They have a heated exchange about modern versus traditional food, with Katha insisting his food makes people sick and Yuvi defending his passion. Naveen tries to mediate, suggesting that since one cares for mood and the other for health, they should work together. Katha storms off, vowing to make a fresh batch of her medicine for the child.
Yuvi, emotional and anxious, drives to the ‘Navjeevan Jyoti Vriddh Ashram’ (Old Age Home) with his friend KC to finally meet his mother. He clutches his mother’s red recipe diary. At the ashram, KC points out an elderly woman and says that she is the one. Yuvi is overcome with emotion. KC gives him a small plate of ‘gud wali lapsi’ (jaggery porridge) made by the woman. With trembling hands, Yuvi takes a spoonful. As he tastes it, his hopeful expression turns to one of deep disappointment and heartbreak. He realizes this is not his mother’s ‘lapsi’ and therefore, this woman is not his mother. As he grapples with this crushing reality, another woman in the ashram suddenly faints and falls to the ground. Yuvi and Katha, who has also arrived at the ashram with a plant, both rush to help the unconscious woman, holding her as the episode ends on a cliffhanger.
