The writers did an excellent job building up the despair, making Prachi’s isolation feel real and painful. The performances were spot-on, with Prachi’s helplessness and Alia’s over-the-top villainy hitting all the right notes.
The big twist, while perhaps not entirely unpredictable for long-time viewers, was incredibly satisfying. Ranbir’s fake-out, where he pretends to side with the villains, was a brilliant piece of writing. It not only amplified the drama but also made his eventual checkmate moment all the more powerful. It’s refreshing to see Ranbir one step ahead of the antagonists for a change, using their own tactics against them. The use of a simple pen recorder as the key piece of evidence was a classic spy-thriller trope that fit surprisingly well into the domestic drama. The final scene, with the recording playing and the villains’ faces falling, was pure televisual gold and a fantastic cliffhanger that promises an explosive follow-up.
