The episode begins with Kaanti feeling dejected and asking Padma if she truly believes he is capable of putting up the posters. Padma, showing immense faith in him, reassures him. She tells him that if he had done something wrong, he wouldn’t have the courage to stand before her and speak. She knows he is innocent because he calls her ‘Maa’ with all his heart and has even sworn on her. Padma believes that an enemy of theirs is behind this mischief. She is, however, worried about how Sneha is handling the situation. Kaanti vows to find the person responsible for this act.
Meanwhile, Manjula receives a call from a gleeful Rajeshwari. Rajeshwari taunts Manjula, asking if there’s been an earthquake at the hotel, referring to the posters of Sneha and Kaanti. Manjula is flustered and tries to end the call, but Rajeshwari reveals that her spy, Kaali, put up the posters all over the village. She is thrilled that Padma, who takes so much pride in her daughter, will now face humiliation. Rajeshwari tells a shocked Manjula that she will now go and create a scene at Padma’s house.
At the hotel, Padma arrives, visibly upset. She confronts Sahana and Sneha, asking where Sneha has been. Masterji, who is eating at the hotel, leaves in a hurry after seeing the tension. Padma then confronts Sneha directly, asking why she didn’t tell her about the posters. Sneha is deeply hurt, realizing her mother knew about the posters but didn’t trust her enough to talk about it. She tells her mother that she has already forgotten the incident and doesn’t want to discuss it further before leaving for college, heartbroken.
Padma follows Sneha and Kaanti outside the hotel. Sneha, upset, tells her mother that she is going to the library. Padma tries to talk to her, but Sneha leaves. Padma tells Kaanti that Sneha is very sensitive and that he needs to find the person who did this to clear the air. She reassures him again and asks him not to stop coming to the hotel. Kaanti, filled with determination, agrees and leaves on his bike, thinking about how to resolve the situation.
At the college, the PT coach scolds the girls on the Kho-Kho team for their involvement with Padma. He tells them to focus on their studies and warns them that the playground is only for boys, forbidding them from practicing. The girls, led by one of Sneha’s friends, decide to defy him and head to the ground anyway.
The drama escalates when Purvi’s family—her father, mother Sarla, and herself—drive by and see the posters of Kaanti and Sneha. They are shocked. Sarla immediately questions Purvi about her relationship with Kaanti, asking if she still wants to marry him after seeing this. Before Purvi can respond, they see two men putting up more posters and approach them.
In the final scene, Rajeshwari arrives at Padma’s hotel with a group of villagers, ready to cause a public spectacle. She starts yelling at Padma, questioning her daughter’s character and the family’s honor. The village head and others defend Padma, stating they know Sneha is a good girl. But Rajeshwari is relentless, claiming that her daughter is now associated with a boy of questionable character and that Padma has ruined the village’s reputation. The episode ends with Padma shouting at Rajeshwari to stop, as the villagers look on in shock.
Review
This episode of Padma Ki Betiya was packed with high-voltage drama and emotional confrontations. The opening scene between Padma and Kaanti was a highlight, beautifully establishing Padma’s unwavering trust and motherly love, which stands in stark contrast to the storm that is about to hit her. The character of Rajeshwari is shaping up to be a truly formidable antagonist; her glee at Padma’s potential downfall was chillingly portrayed. The conflict between Padma and Sneha was also well-executed, stemming from a classic case of miscommunication and a mother’s protective instincts clashing with a daughter’s need for trust. The episode did a great job of building tension, from the PT coach’s sexist declaration to the public humiliation orchestrated by Rajeshwari. The final scene sets the stage for a major showdown that will surely test the family’s resilience. The pacing was excellent, with each scene contributing to the escalating conflict, leaving the audience eager to see how Padma will handle this public assault on her family’s honor.
