·

The episode begins with a woman in a black saree, seemingly possessed, smiling sinisterly as she enters a grand house. She attacks Bairav, who is dressed in traditional attire. He desperately tries to crawl away, but she pursues him relentlessly. Two other men witness the attack in horror and hide, praying for their safety. The possessed woman’s powers grow as a glowing, fiery staff materializes in her hands, and she continues to terrorize Bairav.

As Bairav lies on the floor, the possessed woman attacks him with the fiery staff. He is thrown across the room, crying out in pain. The staff, which now has mango leaves tied to it, begins to float and move on its own, chasing Bairav around the house. Two men rush to help Bairav, but they too are terrified by the floating, magical staff. They cower in fear as the staff corners them. Bairav, panicked, tells them to stop it, but they are helpless. He manages to run away and hide in another room, locking the door behind him. He breathes a sigh of relief, but his terror returns when he sees the possessed woman’s reflection in a mirror, even though she is not in the room. The glowing staff then appears, floating ominously in front of him.

In another part of the house, Maya and Rashmi enter a room and are shocked to see the magical staff floating. Unaware of the danger, Rashmi is amused and starts taking selfies with it. Maya warns her to stop, but Rashmi ignores her. Suddenly, the staff attacks them, causing their phones to spark and their ears to ring with a high-pitched sound. They scream in pain and terror, hiding in a corner. Just then, an older woman, whom they call Aunty, enters and is horrified to see them. The staff turns on her, and all three women scream for help. The possessed woman reappears, her eyes glowing menacingly.

Aunty (Nilambari) quickly instructs Maya to call the Swamiji. Maya manages to get through and explains the chaotic situation. The Swamiji tells her that this is not the work of the goddess and that a sacred thread tied around the house must have been broken. He insists that only Belly can re-tie the thread, and if anyone else does, it could be dangerous for Chand. Meanwhile, Pushpa, Belly’s mother, refuses to send Belly to the house after being insulted by them previously. Desperate, Nilambari calls Belly herself, apologizing and emotionally blackmailing her by saying Muthu is waiting for her. Belly, hearing Muthu’s name, agrees to come.

From a balcony, Maya and Rashmi see Belly arriving. Belly finds the broken sacred thread outside the house. As she starts to tie it back together, the possessed woman, who is standing near a car outside, screams in agony. Belly finishes tying the thread, and the possessed woman disappears. Belly then picks up the magical staff, which has fallen to the ground and lost its glow, and enters the house. She finds Nilambari, Maya, and Rashmi, who are relieved but shocked to see her with the staff. Belly plants the staff in a pot. Suddenly, they smell smoke and rush to another room to find all of Maya’s wedding items and clothes burning in a mysterious fire, leaving them all in a state of shock and despair.

Review

This episode was a rollercoaster of supernatural drama and emotional tension. The special effects, especially the glowing staff and the possessed woman’s transformation, were quite effective in creating a spooky atmosphere. The pacing was brisk, with one chaotic event leading to another, keeping the audience on the edge of their seats. The performances were commendable, particularly the actors playing the possessed woman and the terrified family members. The blend of horror, family drama, and mystery works well for the show. However, the plot point of the sacred thread feels a bit convenient, but it serves to bring Belly back into the fold. The final scene, with the wedding items burning, is a powerful cliffhanger that sets up a lot of questions for the next episode. Is the evil spirit still active? What is its connection to the family and Maya’s wedding?
