Indra, Chandra, Agni, and Vayu stand ready for battle, determined to stop her. Malla, the Asura, watches from the side with a smug smile, clearly enjoying the chaos he has orchestrated.
The gods launch a combined energy attack at Kali, but she effortlessly deflects it with a single, powerful beam from her own weapon. The force of her counter-attack is immense, sending all the gods flying backward. They collapse in a heap, defeated and groaning in pain, as a brilliant explosion of light fills the hall. Malla and his companion Mani look on with immense satisfaction.
Kali lets out a terrifying roar, her tongue lolling out, a picture of untamed fury. She creates a massive shockwave that throws the defeated gods across the hall once more, leaving them unconscious. As Indra lies defeated, Kali slowly approaches him and places her foot firmly on his chest. The cosmic imbalance from her rage is shown through visuals of meteors striking the earth and volcanoes erupting.
Terrified, Indra begs for forgiveness, pleading, “Forgive me, Mother, forgive me!” He finally relents and agrees to give her Uchchaihshravas. With a spell, the magnificent white horse appears, adorned in red and gold. Malla steps forward, takes the horse’s reins, and gives Indra a look of pure triumph. Having secured the horse and Indra’s throne, Malla and Mani begin a fire ritual with Diti and the other Asuras, who pledge their complete allegiance to Kali.
A desperate Indra rushes to the forest where Shiva is meditating and begs him to intervene. He explains that his throne is gone and that creation is in danger from Kali’s fury. Shiva opens his eyes and explains that this is not merely Kali’s anger, but the consequence of Indra’s own pride and actions. He reveals that Malla and Mani will not stop and will ask for more from the enchanted Shakti. Shiva refuses to intervene directly, stating that this conflict is no longer a personal one between husband and wife, but a larger battle for equality between the masculine and feminine principles. He says this is a necessary lesson for the universe, and a new era will begin from this turmoil.
Elsewhere, Vishnu explains to a worried Brahma that Shiva’s silence is part of a grander design. He reassures him that this is not a time for blame but for finding a solution. Meanwhile, Malla and Mani continue to fuel Kali’s ego, telling her that her power is growing and she will soon rule the entire cosmos. Spurred on by them, Diti and her Asura army attack the gods, easily overpowering them with Kali’s energy fueling them.
