The episode begins with a tense atmosphere in the house. Pari tries to get her daughter, Dil, ready for school, telling her she’s getting late. Dil, looking sad and scared, refuses to go. Pari gently insists, but Dil remains adamant. Pari’s brother, Raghuvir, watches them with a stern expression. When Pari raises her voice slightly at Dil, the little girl gets frightened and runs upstairs, hiding behind a pillar. She peeks out, her eyes filled with fear.
With Dil gone, Raghuvir confronts Pari. He aggressively asks her if she will now answer his questions. He wants to know who Dil’s father is. He demands to know the name of the man who manipulated her. “Tell me Dil’s father’s name!” he shouts, his eyes red with anger. Pari stands her ground, asking what he has to do with it. Raghuvir yells that he has everything to do with it.
He then starts a tirade about the house, claiming it’s his. He mocks Pari for constantly talking about “her house papers.” He declares that the house is not hers but his. He says their father was senile in his old age to have named the house after both of them. He preaches that a girl’s real home is her in-laws’ house, and yet she is sitting on his head. He calls Dil her “paap” (sin) and menacingly asks, “Who is the father of this sin?”
Pari retorts that their father gave the house to both of them. Raghuvir continues to shout, not willing to listen. He threatens to find Dil’s father, teach him a lesson, and then throw both Pari and Dil out of the house. Just then, a woman, who seems to be Raghuvir’s wife, enters with a bag, looking shocked at the scene. She asks what is happening. Raghuvir dismisses her and rudely orders her to go and make tea. She reluctantly leaves to do his bidding.
The scene shifts to a completely different setting. A modern-looking couple, rockstar Raghav and his stylish wife Natasha, are at a police station. Their assistant, Bindu, is also with them. Natasha is complaining about her daughter, Shanaya, being obsessed with her phone and making videos. She’s upset that Raghav let her have the phone. Raghav retorts that it’s Natasha who is obsessed with making their six-year-old daughter a “star kid.” He criticizes her for pushing Shanaya into social media at such a young age, mentioning her 10 million views and constant selfies. Natasha defends herself, saying that in the year 2025, if you’re not online, you don’t exist. She calls their daughter a “star kid” and says the videos are her first step to connecting with fans.
Bindu arrives with bail papers for Raghav. It seems Raghav was in jail. A police officer hands over the papers for verification. Natasha is annoyed that the media is outside. Bindu explains that the media was informed the bail would happen tomorrow to ensure a quiet exit, but somehow they found out. A policewoman scolds them for creating a scene and sarcastically remarks that famous people can’t function without cameras and publicity. The policewoman refers to Bindu as a “Chilgoza,” and a media person also calls him that, infuriating Natasha. She yells at them, asking if they know who she is.
A flashback shows little Dil talking to her mother. She reveals that for her birthday, her mother is going to tell her the truth about her father’s name. In return, Dil plans to give her mother the house papers, which she knows her “villain mama” (uncle Raghuvir) has. She is determined to find them in his room.
Back at the police station, Natasha dramatically puts on her sunglasses and prepares to face the media. Just then, Raghav’s brother, Bhai, arrives, looking concerned. He is surprised to see Natasha and the media circus.
The scene cuts to a lavish dining room. A man who looks exactly like Raghav is eating. His mother and another woman, who appears to be his wife Pallavi, are with him. His mother is lovingly feeding him. Suddenly, a woman in a yellow sari, Mohini, enters with a disdainful look. The man at the table stops eating, and the atmosphere becomes tense. It seems there is a major conflict between them. The episode ends with the doppelganger getting up from the table in anger, hinting at a deep-seated rivalry.
Review
This episode masterfully balances two contrasting storylines, creating a rich and complex narrative. On one hand, we have the heart-wrenching story of Pari and her daughter Dil, who are facing the wrath of a cruel and greedy relative. The actor playing Raghuvir delivered a powerful performance, making his character truly despicable. The vulnerability of Pari and the innocence of Dil are portrayed beautifully, making the audience root for them. The revelation that Dil knows about the house papers and her plan to retrieve them adds a layer of intelligence and bravery to her character, making her more than just a victim.
On the other hand, the introduction of the glamorous and chaotic world of rockstar Raghav and his wife Natasha provides a stark contrast. Their problems, though serious, seem trivial compared to Pari’s struggle for a home. This parallel narrative is intriguing, and the introduction of a doppelganger for Raghav at the end is a classic TV twist that promises a lot of drama. The episode does an excellent job of setting up multiple mysteries: Who is Dil’s father? What is the connection between the two families? And what’s the story behind the two lookalike rockstars? The pacing is excellent, keeping the viewer hooked from start to finish.
