Later, Dil finds some papers her mother had lost. To make her mother happy, she makes a beautiful handmade card, writing ‘Meri Maai’ (My Mother) on it. She carefully places the lost papers inside the card and hides it in a book, hoping to surprise her mother. In a beautiful, imaginative sequence, Dil is seen joyfully playing in the bathroom, splashing water and creating a world of soap bubbles and singing birds, a stark contrast to her fearful reality.
Surili returns home from work, and Dil, now in her school uniform, excitedly runs to her. She gives her mother the card and the lost papers. Surili is overcome with emotion. Dil innocently tells her that now all her worries must be gone. This prompts Dil to ask her mother about her father. To protect her from a harsh truth, Surili lies, telling Dil that her father is a high-ranking officer in the army, currently on a top-secret mission, and that they cannot even speak his name. Dil, though sad, accepts this story.
In a sinister move, Dil’s Mama visits a lawyer. He bribes the lawyer to create fake property documents that would make him the sole owner of their house. He is then seen burning the original papers, cackling with evil delight as his plan to take everything from his sister and niece moves forward.
The next day, as Surili is about to take Dil to school, her Mama intervenes, insisting he will drop the children. His cruelty is on full display as he makes Dil run behind his motorcycle, carrying heavy bags, while her cousins ride comfortably. Surili, who is driving her truck, witnesses this heart-wrenching scene. She immediately stops and rushes to a sobbing Dil, who has fallen in exhaustion. Surili confronts her brother, warning him to stay away from her daughter. He menacingly threatens her, warning her about her sharp tongue.
The scene shifts to introduce Raghav Kumar, a famous rockstar, in his luxurious room. He is arguing with a woman, whom he calls ‘Sasu Mother’ (likely his manager or a mother-figure), about an upcoming concert in his hometown, Raunakpur. It’s clear he has a painful past connected to the town and is reluctant to go. She tells him he has no choice. In a fit of rage and inner turmoil, he smashes a glass table with his bare hand, which starts bleeding, revealing the deep pain he carries.
At school, Dil is bullied by a classmate who cruelly tells her that her mother is a liar and that her father is actually dead. A fight breaks out, and Dil is pushed to the ground. That night, a heartbroken Dil is talking to her cat. The cat jumps into the closet, knocking down a magazine. On the cover is a poster of the rockstar, Raghav Kumar. Seeing his face, a new hope sparks in Dil’s eyes, and she whispers, “My new Papa,” believing she has finally found him.

This episode was a rollercoaster of emotions, brilliantly portraying the innocence of a child caught in a web of adult cruelty and lies. The performance of the young actress playing Dil was outstanding; her fear, joy, and sorrow were palpable and heart-wrenching. The contrast between her harsh reality and her beautiful, imaginative world was depicted wonderfully. The uncle’s character is shaping up to be a truly despicable villain, and his scenes were filled with a chilling sense of greed. The introduction of the rockstar, Raghav Kumar, adds a new and exciting layer to the story. His own hidden pain and connection to Raunakpur promise a collision of past and present. The mother, Surili, is a strong character, but her lie, though well-intentioned, is bound to create more complications. The episode did a fantastic job of setting up a major conflict and leaving the audience eager to see how Dil’s innocent belief and her uncle’s evil plans will unfold with Raghav’s arrival.
